Evan Long is the centerspread editor and three-year writer at the Parkview Pantera. Always taking advantage of activities open to him, Evan runs Cross Country and Track and spends time as an officer in Student Council and NEHS as well as a member of a dozen other Parkview High School and Atlanta-area organizations the Model Atlanta Regional Commission and Parkview Church.

 

When in college, Evan hopes to study International Relations, Economics, Spanish, and Korean. Ideally, he would enjoy going to Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. or St. Andrews University in Scotland.

 

Always dreaming to explore the world, Evan aspires to one day work overseas. He is fascinated with people, and wants to meet as many as he can in his life time, so he would like to pursue a career in International Politics or even Journalism or Anthropology.

 

Academically, Evan is dreading his tough schedule this year, but because he is a senior he is sure that senioritis will kick in and calm him down. However, he still enjoys his classes, and his favorite class he has ever taken at Parkview was AP European History with Mrs. Bronnum.

 

Evan is a detail-loving guy, and his pet peeves include unoriginal page design, misalignment of pages, hastily created headline design, and Comic Sans. “Never, ever, ever, ever use Comic Sans. Or Algerian. Or Curls MT.” says Evan, “And if the by-line is not in line, then you’re out of line.”

 

That last paragraph was of course for the Pantera staff.
