The Parkview Pantera

Ankia Akbar

Anika Akbar is currently a senior at Parkview. Born in New York raised in Georgia, she has always had an interest in reading or writing anything from poems to short stories, and recent articles. With the aim of learning how to develop her own style of writing, she decided to join the school’s newspaper, the Parkview Pantera, and is now one of the acting Editors in Chief.

Other than journalism, Anika is also involved in many extracurriculars such as Beta Club, NLHS, NEHS, NHS, HOSA, SAVE/SADD, and is looking to join more for this school year as she is always striving to find ways to help others as it gives her a sense of content.

In her free time, she enjoys catching up on her favorite shows, listening to music (preferably rock), and bringing a smile to the faces of her friends and family. Her writing time is what Anika looks forward to the most though as she feels she can let all her frustrations out to keep her comically eccentric personality alive.

Anika has yet to decide what she wants to do with her life. However, she hopes to do something that could bring any kind of positivity.

Her favorite quote to get her through the current struggles she encounters is one by the great Dr. Suess, “Step with care and great tact, and remember that Life's a Great Balancing Act.”
