With the crowd behind them at The Big Orange Jungle, the Parkview Panthers rolled into this week’s game hopeful after last week’s victory against Mountain View. The Panthers and head coach Eric Godfree were fired up. However, the second non-regional game resulted in a 41-24 loss for Parkview.

The Panthers got off to a great start by scoring on a forced fumble with a defensive touchdown by safety, Jean-Charles Adou. The second quarter did not go in Parkview’s favor and was controlled by Peachtree Ridge who manage to score three touchdowns with one touchdown resulting in a 2-point conversion.

After halftime, Parkview came back out re-energized and dominated the third quarter by scoring 17 point and only allowing Peachtree Ridge to score 6 points in the entire half. The efforts of senior safety, Jean-Charles Adou contributed big in the third defensively and senior kicker, Eric Autry handled the scoring with several field goals.

Even though Parkview had the momentum in the second half, they still came out with a loss taking their season record to 1 – 1. Now they look ahead and prepare for one of their biggest rivals and first regional game next week against The Brookwood Broncos at 7:30 p.m. at The Big Orange Jungle; Brookwood’s overall record is 0 – 2.
