On Saturday, September 22nd, Sophomore Kristen Newstreet (left) and Freshman Bella Maradiaga (right), traveled to Plains, GA to accept their medals in the 2018 Plains Postcard Contest for 2nd and 3rd place. They both entered through Parkview’s creative writing class. While at the event, both students got to meet President Jimmy Carter. “It was crazy,” said Newstreet.”It was so unreal that this amazing person came from this quiet little town.”
