Netflix’s new show called “Living Undocumented”

“You can watch a documentary and you can say well this is too bad…but at the end of the day it’s just something your watching on TV…you can turn that off and you can go about your life.”  In society today a prevalent issue is immigration mainly having to do with the issue of undocumented immigrants entering the United States illegally. A new series on Netflix takes a look at eight8 undocument families living in the United States and shows how they are treated by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) officials, the stories of how and why they came to the US, and the fate of the undocumented families as the United States’ immigration policies transform with the new administration.

In the beginning you are introduced to Luis Diaz who arrived from Honduras in 2012. He is living undocumented, undetected by ICE. After a traffic stop, Luis’ girlfriend Kenia is detained and he must now drive her son Noah to be reunited with his mother, so the two can be deported together.
