Boyband craze is still going strong worldwide as there seems to be a constant flow of up and coming stars among the boyband world. The Vamps, a four member British boy band, is one group that is quickly rising to fame. They released their first album titled Meet the Vamps on April 15, 2014.

The Vamps first started garnering attention from their YouTube channel in which they sang covers of various artists. Some of their most popular covers are of the songs “22” by Taylor Swift, “Story of My Life” by One Direction, and “Let Her Go” by Passenger.

The Meet the Vamps album has a variety of songs that each foster different moods. Overall, the songs are fun, upbeat, and catchy. Many of the songs, such as “Wild Heart,” have a folksy, acoustic guitar feel to them. The song “Can We Dance” has a nice drum beat to it that will make people want to move. Other songs, such as “Somebody to You” which features Demi Lovato, have a summertime party vibe to them.

While they will inevitably be compared to other boybands such as One Direction and 5 Seconds of Summer, The Vamps definitely has some unique aspects that will help them to build their own fan base. Overall, Meet the Vamps is a fun, light-hearted album to listen anytime—whether you are at the beach with friends or jamming alone in your room.
