Saturday’s homecoming is sending Parkview students into their parents’ closets and the thrift store to find outfits for a week of spirit days leading up to the big dance. Last week, student council announced the themes for October 2nd-5th.

Monday kicked the week off with Decade Day, where students dressed up in clothes from an era of their choosing. The most popular decades appear to be the 80s and 90s, with some students sporting bright clothing and others representing the grunge era.

On Tuesday, Parkview showed support for their favorite sports teams. Some “sported” a simple t-shirt with their team logo, others wore full uniforms.

Wednesday is the day that students anticipate the most — Disney/Pixar day. Some students planned to get in groups to dress up as the cast from their favorite Pixar movie such as Toy Story or Monsters Inc. Others dressed up as characters from their favorite Disney Channel show.

Thursday is a day full of heroes. Look for Superman, the Hulk, and Wonder Woman, as well as a range of comic book characters.

The week will culminate with Friday’s Parkview Spirit day. Students will display their orange and blue for the pep rally during 7th period and the homecoming game against Lakeside High School.

The dance will take place on Saturday Oct. 7 at 7:30 pm in the cafeteria. Tickets are on sale for $25 through Tuesday on www.mypaymentsplus.com . Ticket pick-up will occur on Oct.
