The nominee: Jennifer Mulhern Granholm is a Canadian-American politician, lawyer, educator, author, and political commentator who has been confirmed to be 16th United States Secretary of Energy. Granholm was also the governor of Michigan from 2003 to 2011, and worked with the state’s auto industry during the financial crisis, with a focus on clean energy development.
