Executive Order on Property Blocking with Respect to the Situation in Burma

An executive order was passed on February 11th as a response to a coup by the Burmese Military on February 1st. The coup resulted in the military overthrowing the democratically elected government in addition to the unjust detainment of government employees, journalists, and religious leaders. Given this development, the U.S. intervened in order to uphold their foreign policies.
