Executive Order Mandating Ethics Pledge for Federal Employees

This order requires all government appointees to sign a pledge that they will not accept gifts from registered lobbyists during their service. They are banned from lobbying for at least 2 years after leaving the government. This means that they pledge to not be influenced by other government officials or people in power and influence others using their own authority.
